It doesn’t take a genius to make money on eBay, nor does it require you to have any specialized computer knowledge. You don’t even need to be a skilled entrepreneur, because eBay does most of the work for you. With over 1.5 billion page views per month and more than 1000 categories, they bring customers TO YOU and save you enormous advertising costs.

Your job, therefore, is to make a successful sales pitch to the customers who see your auctions, and doing that isn’t as easy as you might think. You will be competing with more than two million other eBay sellers, many of whom are veterans at online marketing and highly knowledgeable in the niche markets found on Ebay. So how do you compete with them? The answer is simple: INFORMATION!

This guide provides the information needed to get ahead on eBay and gives you an instant edge over your competitors. I will provide you with insider secrets on Ebay trading that I have learned from years of online auction sales. If you read this guide carefully, you will be armed with the knowledge necessary for an extremely lucrative home-based business selling virtually anything on eBay.

====eBay First Steps====

This link forwards you directy to eBay’s new user sign-up page: http://ebay-register.auctionresourcenetwork.net

Step one: Enter all the information that is requested on that form then click submit. You will then be forwarded to a page where you get to pick your eBay user ID.

Step Two: You will need a unique name when asked for a user ID. You might as well advertise your company name for your user ID. For example, Instead of “BobSellsoneBay99″ it’s best to use your company name, like, “Bobs-Metro-Camera” or something to that effect. I think you get the point. If you don’t have a company name, just make one up!

Step Three: Once that is done, you simply have to confirm your new eBay account by checking your email. Simply click on the “Confirmation” link within the confirmation email to confirm your new account. This step confirms your request to sign up to buy and sell on eBay.

The next major step is to get set-up to send and receive payments. Becoming e-commerce enabled if you will. The good news is this is very easy with an eBay owned company called “PayPal.” PayPal makes things very easy to send and/or receive money with a credit card, checking account, or your PayPal account balance. Sign-up is fast, free and easy. Just click the link below to be forwarded to PayPal’s website: http://paypal.auctionresourcenetwork.net

Congrats! You are now ready to begin buying and selling on eBay!

Now lets start selling. First you will need to set up your eBay sellers account. Please take the time to read all the tutorials and “how to” links eBay provides: http://pages.ebay.com/help/basics/n-selling.html

Once you have these initial steps completed, you are on your way to becoming a very successful eBay Power Seller!

Can Moms Really Make a Living with Websites?

Filed under: Internet Businesses — work from home resource @ 6:39 pm

You’ve heard the stories and seen the ads.

Make money while you sleep! Quit your day job! Make $50,000 a year with a simple website!”

Headlines like these usually mean you should run the other way as fast as you can. So, is affiliate marketing a scam? Can moms make a living owning and operating websites? What is adsense, anyway?

Surprisingly enough, all of those promises are true. Affiliate marketing is a legitimate way for moms to make an income and sites can earn enough money to support a family. However, the claims in advertisements are leaving out some important details.

  • Yes, you can earn money while you sleep, as long as you put in eight to ten hours of work beforehand. After all, the net is open 24 hours and people are surfing the net while you are sleeping.
  • Yes, affiliate marketing is legitimate, but you won’t automatically earn money. You will need to convince people to buy the product you are promoting. Affiliate marketing is like an online sales job. You can be very low key or aggressive, but, either way, you need to be willing to persuade people. (If you are sure you are not aggressive enough to earn money online, check out Alice Seba’s fabulous Internet Marketing Sweetie Course. I was fortunate enough to be there for the live phone call and it was really packed with terrific information.)
  • Yes, with Adsense or affiliate links, you can earn money on your site. However, first you will need traffic. You will need to promote your site, add content, and even write articles. (If you don’t like writing, you can still have original articles and content. See my freelance writing site for rates or check out rentacoder.com.)

Before you buy your domain name and start building your site, please take the time to do some research. There are so many sites that you will need to find a niche group. If you don’t, you will need to work very hard to make these types of sites successful. (For domain names and webhosting, I have been very happy using GoDaddy.com for domain names.)

Alyice at Dabbling Mum has a very thought provoking article on starting a mom site this month. However, if your passion is helping moms, don’t let the glut of mom sites stop you from following your dreams. Just remember to look for your niche. Perhaps you can inspire homeschooling moms to work from home or maybe you want to help moms start a specific type of business. Maybe you’ve tried every MLM opportunity out there and want to devote your site to opportunity reviews.

Finally, for a step by step course on earning money with a blog or site, take a look at 100k in 60 Days. Right now, the course is being offered at absolutely no cost, but future sessions will have a tuition fee. Most of the course materials are also free, and you can substitute other materials for the ones that do cost. (For example, use Blogger instead of Typepad) We are into the third week right now and really learning a lot. Don’t worry about being a bit behind. You can catch up.

I hope to see you on the web, soon!

7 Simple ways to organize your daily life while running a home business

Filed under: Work From Home Tips — work from home resource @ 6:35 pm

By Brenda Hoffman

As a home business owner, it is rather easy to become overwhelmed
with your daily life and responsibilities. Here are 7 simple ways in
which you can organize your daily life.

(1.) You need to know where you are and where you want to go in each
area of your daily life. There are 8 areas that mingle, intertwine
and combine together to form your daily life. Knowing where you are,
and where you want to be, in these areas will help you immensely.
These 8 areas include:
Self - What do you believe? What do you value? What are your morals?
How is your spirituality and your relationship with yourself?
Support System - These are the people who give support to you, as
well as those who receive support from you.
Work - You already know that you’re a parent but what other career
or job do you have? What business do you own or run
Money - What do you earn? What do you save? What do you spend?
Hobbies and Fun - What you do to relax, refuel and recharge?
Health and Beauty - How you take care of your body, both inside and
out?
Love - What is your most intimate relationship? Is it healthy?
Home - What is your living environment? Who is in it? What is in it?

(2.) Create a plan to get what you need and want out of life! This
is also known as goal setting. Clarifying the specific actions that
you need to take in order to reach these goals will help you stay
organized with your priorities. Take a look at each of the 8 areas
of your life and create a list of the specific actions that you must
take to obtain your goals in each area. Then take a look at this
list and decide which area needs most work. By simply working on
improving this area, the other 7 areas of your life will also be
positively effected.

(3.) Remove what isn’t working for you! Some things that will keep
you livin in chaos and unhappiness include: clutter,
disorganization, broken items, and time wasting tasks. These items
will only stress you out and wear you down so after you make a list
of them, it is time to begin removing them from your daily life.

(4.) Create a positive, uplifting support system that you can
surround yourself with! Negative people will only hold you back.
Positive people will help you feel less stressed, more organized and
happier! Start by recognizing the supportive people in your life,
how they support you, and how you can acknowledge them for this
support. This will ensure that you continue to receive their
valuable support and encouragement. Then take a moment to recognize
those negative people who are around you and begin slowly weeding
them out of your life.

(5.) Manage your daily stress! Believe it or not, daily stress has a
huge effect upon your body, mind and spirit. Being proactive in
handling your daily stressors will help you to stay organized and
live an enjoyable daily life.

(6.) I’m sure that you’ve heard this said before, but it really is
important to: Manage your time wisely! Don’t waste time on tasks
that are done only to please other people. This will leave you
feeling resentful and angry. Do not waste time on activities that
are not in line with your priorities either. Instead, stay focussed
upon completing those tasks that are necessary in order for you to
achieve your goals. Begin each day by deciding precisely what it is
that you want to accomplish that day. From there you can designate
what tasks need completed, delegated, or even deleted.

(7.) Keep track of your progress! This will help you to understand
what is going well for you and why, as well as what isnâ?Tt working
out for you and why. Taking notice of these things will help you to
either continue doing them or make some changes.

If you’d like to begin noticing things becoming and staying
organized, then I highly recommend that you start incorporating
these 7 simple ways to organize your daily life, into your life
today. Living an organized daily life is the key to successfully
enjoying your daily life!
