How exactly did you make the determination that blogging was right for you?

I’ve always been a journal sort of girl and blogging is a way to journal online and have people respond to what I’m talking about. I love the ease of putting a post up compared to uploading a new site page and changing all the other pages’ links to guide people to the new info. (I know it’s gotten much easier since we’ve added SSI and CMS, but I’m hooked on blogging now!)

What are key elements you think people should consider when they begin exploring blogging as a career possibility?

As for career opportunities, I think you have to love something and want to tell people about it before you start trying to earn money at it. That’s why thousands of blogs about forex trading and other high paying topics are started and abandoned. For 99.9% of the blogging population, those topics are boring and writing about them becomes a dreaded chore instead of something fun.
